“Danielle De Picciotto is a true polyartist, as an exhibiting artist, an author, and musician” – Groove Magazine
DANIELLE DE PICCIOTTO is a wanderer. She explores the regions between the inner and outer edges of our collective psyche and turns her impressions into interdisciplinary music. Her compositions are a mixture of spoken word, electronic soundscapes, melancholic violin harmonies moving from experimental sounds to mystical melodies. Her live shows are enhanced by her visuals made up of her drawings and paintings which she animates and morphes into a dreamy surreal world complimenting her music.
In 1987 Danielle de Picciotto moved to Berlin to become an independent musician / artist. She initiated the Berlin Love Parade together with Dr. Motte and “The Ocean Club” together with Gudrun Gut, became singer of the Berlin Cross-Over band Space Cowboys, exhibited her art and her films internationally in museums and began to work together with Alexander Hacke, founding member of Einstürzende Neubauten, in 2001 founding the band “hackedepicciotto”.
In addition to this, she releases solo albums. Her first “Tacoma” was released on “Moabit” the experimental / spoken word label by Gudrun Gut in 2015.
The second solo album “Deliverance” appeared in May 2019 on the UK label “Louder Than War”. Her third album “The Element of Love” was released in Feb 2022 on the San Francisco label “Broken Clover”.
